Spurgeon And The Psalms Review
I have the privilege of reviewing “Spurgeon and The Psalms, the Book of Psalms With Devotions from Charles Spurgeon.” I received this book for free as a member of the BibleGateway Blogger Grid.
If you love the Psalms and enjoy the writings of Charles Spurgeon, you will love this book. I found it to be a great help in pondering the Psalms. Each Psalm is preceded by a short devotion from Spurgeon. The wide margins offer ample space for notes, and the print is comfortable for these “seasoned” eyes! I love cross-references, and I was delighted to find them at the end of each Psalm! The size is perfect for travel.
“Spurgeon and the Psalms” would be a beautiful gift for a fellow ponderer of God’s Word. If I have any complaint, it would be that the book uses the NKJV translation, which is not my “go to” translation and is sometimes difficult to understand. Otherwise, I love the book and would highly recommend it to others!
